This was such a great movie! I took my mom and we both laughed so hard. Yeah a lot of the story has been done before but it's still a fun light-hearted good time all around.
I guess I've long enough that there are not any new ideas left for moviesnsince I've seen two movies in 3 days that are based on plots already usednseveral times before. Hmmmm, lets see, a real live guy can suddenly seenghosts and they want him to do things nfor him so they can pass on into the light? Where does Hollywood keep coming up with these ideas? The onlynthing not making this movie totally predictable are Greg Kinnear and Ricky Gervais who are such great actors that you can enjoy watching them do their thing and try to make something new out of an old plot line.
What a simple movie to make you laugh way out loud!!nRicky Gervais is completely hilarious. I have only seen him in little snidbits from the original "The Office" BBC TV series. His subtle reactions and c***iness brings a great character to life without over-doing it!! Krsiten Wiig did a great job as-well. Greg Kinnear continues to show his range (I'm anxious to see him in "Flash of Genius.") This is a great comedy and can be enjoyed by everyone!!
I LOVED THIS MOVIE! Ricky Gervais was sooooooooooo funny! I loved it and the whole theater was laughing out loud! See it now if you haven't.
Very funny movie. Predictable, as if you allow yourself to step outside the movie after the first 15-20 minutes, you know how it will end, but why pay money to be entertained and do that? How it gets to that ending is the fun ride and I enjoyed it. Kinnear, Leoni, and Ricky Gervais were great. If you've seen Gervais in HBO's Extras, he plays a similar character and equally as funny. I highly recommend it.
